Maintenance and service on Jenbacher gas engines

Service, maintenance and spare parts supply for Jenbacher gas engines has been one of the main activities of RS Motor since 2011.

The marketing of OEM and original spare parts for Jenbacher engines is RS Motor’s speciality. This allows us to be more competitive by selling the same parts that Jenbacher sells under their logo.

Our extensive stock is essential for a quick response to any of our customers. RS Motor has all the parts critical to the maintenance of any Jenbacher 2 series, 3 series, 4 series or 6 series gas engine in stock.

Our customers rely on RS Motor for both corrective and preventive maintenance. Reconditioned parts are an important factor in shortening plant downtime as much as possible. RS Motor can recondition many of the engine elements and has a large stock of them ready to be shipped. This allows us to repair any engine failures as quickly as possible, avoiding large investments of money. The use of reconditioned spare parts is widespread, especially in major preventive maintenance (60,000 hours, 40,000 hours, 30,000 hours and/or 20,000 hours).

In short, a wealth of experience, the use of OEM and Genuine spare parts, and a large stock, allow RS Motor to be the best alternative to the manufacturer Jenbacher.

Preventive maintenance of Jenbacher engines

RS Motor is known worldwide as the best alternative to the engine manufacturer, in this case Jenbacher. A large stock of spare parts, consumables…, as well as a large stock of exchange parts, allow RS Motor to have its own technical service for preventive engine maintenance.

Our specialised technicians and field engineers are perfectly capable of carrying out both major maintenance (overhaul) and minor maintenance. These minor preventive maintenances are carried out at the customer’s plant. Only in the case of Overhaul, RS Motor offers the customer 2 different options: The first is to carry it out at RS Motor, while the second is to carry it out «on site». On certain occasions, when plant downtime does not allow it, we have the possibility of building a Jenbacher exchange shortblock or a Jenbacher exchange longblock beforehand. This allows both us and the customer to shorten the execution time of the work.

Corrective maintenance of MWM engines

Corrective maintenance on Jenbacher gas engines is carried out when an unscheduled event occurs. As a consequence, our response must be as fast and reliable as possible. In these cases, the work is tailored to the engine damage to get the engine up and running as quickly as possible.

RS Motor is normally able to attend the customer’s plant within 24-48 hours of notification.

Jenbacher engine retrofitting

RS Motor is currently working on a number of engine upgrades with the aim of giving customers free access to their control system, and bringing their emissions into compliance with current environmental requirements. A couple of examples can be seen below:
